Please find the latest update on the Presentation ceremony of the Wheel Chair Commodes/Commode Chairs to the Gemunu Watch Disabled War Heroes on Saturday the 26th September 2009 at the Gemunu Watch Regimental Centre, Kuruwita. The following programme was finalized.
- Depart for Kuruwita at 0730 hrs from the SLESA HQs in Fort by a/c coach.
- Arrive at Kuruwita camp by 1000 hrs.
- Reception and laying of wreaths at the Gemunu War memorial
- Welcome refreshments for visitors
- Commencement of the Presentation ceremony
- Welcome address by Project Co-coordinator
- Presentation of Commode Chairs/Wheel Chair Commodes (105 Commodes is earmarked for distribution)
- Address by Donors representative
- Vote of thanks by a disabled War Hero recipient
- National Anthem and end of ceremony
- Lunch at poolside with the recipients.
